THE BIG PICTURE

Bringing Heli-Skiing in virtual reality at CMH, the world’s largest Heli-Skiing operation, to Alterra Resort guests across North America.


THE ACTIVATION

A pop-up, inflatable helicopter landing at the base of six ski resorts throughout the season, spanning East to West coasts.

  • Create the first-ever on-snow virtual reality Heli-Skiing experience

  • Built a structure that emulates being inside a helicopter, and can withstand harsh winter elements while accommodating the functioning needs of virtual reality technological equipment in sub zero temperatures

  • Work with CMH’s parent company, Alterra Resorts, to host the activation at ski resorts on busy weekends throughout the winter season

  • Debunked common myths of Heli-Skiing to qualified skiers, i.e. show them “you don’t have to jump out of the helicopter on top of a cliff or be an extreme skier to be qualified”

  • Capture data through waiver consent and promote sales opportunities post experience

  • Transformed any misperception about Heli-Skiing by sharing a beautiful experience through virtual reality, followed by friendly customer service and information about the lodging and programming CMH has to offer
